The Focus of Our Work:

Coptic Orphans equips disadvantaged children in Egypt through grassroots partner and volunteer networks: especially children who have lost their father, the girl child, and children with disabilities.

 

Our Programs:

 

•We equip children who have lost a father with the tools that they need to break the cycle of poverty in the Not Alone program.

•We build self-esteem in girls at risk of dropping out of school through interactive activities and one-on-one mentoring through  The Valuable Girl Project .

•We build cultural bridges between Egypt and the West through summer service trips to Egypt in Serve to Learn.

•We support the education, health, and practical training of disabled,

orphaned, and other disadvantaged children through our Grassroots Partner Initiatives.

 

How We Work:

The key to the success of Coptic Orphans is our participatory approach. As an international organization, we are experts at maintaining networks. As a local Egyptian organization, we are experts at addressing issues from the ground up. At both levels, we make everyone involved an equal partner:

• The children who participate in our programs

• The hundreds of volunteers working from the grassroots in Egypt

• The church and organization partners with whom we work on the ground

• The volunteers who travel from around the world who travel to Egypt or contribute where they are

• The sponsors and contributors who provide encouragement and financial support
