Nader’s family needs to install new plumbing connections, tiles, and a door (1022)

Nader’s father passed away leaving behind his wife and children, which left his mother in deep sadness. After his death, the father’s family had some disagreements with Nader’s family so they stopped supporting them. The expenses overburdened his mother since she was left to care for her children. Nader’s family rents an apartment from a landlord. The plumbing connections in their apartment are damaged which caused water to leak into their neighbor’s apartment, resulting in problems with them. The landlord wants to evict Nader’s family but can’t do so because the house is governed by old rent control laws. Instead, the property owner is harassing Nader’s family by having strange people open their door in the middle of the night to scare them. Nader and his siblings feel unsafe because of the conflicts with their neighbors and the harassment from strangers, which has had a negative effect on their education. Nader’s mother installed a metal door for the apartment but now they are in need of installing new plumbing connections to fix the leak, change the tiles and walls, and install a bathroom door. These renovations will cost $1,630. Nader’s family needs a generous donor to cover this cost. Donate to Nader. Please include the case number with your donation.

Samaan's family was living with their grandfather for a while but were told to leave without being given anything. Samaan's mother and her children relocated to stay with their maternal aunt temporarily. The family members were feeling insecure due to moving between relatives and not having a place of their own. Our program, together with the church, helped Samaan's family finally move to a rented apartment. Samaan's family still needs to purchase furniture, electric appliances, a stove and cooking utensils. These purchases will cost $1,260. Samaan's family needs a generous donor to cover this cost.

Seham’s family needs to construct a new house and roof (955)

Seham’s father was 95 years old when he died. He was crippled and blind and therefore could not work to provide for his family. He left behind his wife and four children. Seham’s mother is illiterate and receives 80 EGP as the monthly widow’s pension. All four children are school-aged, and they live in a two-story rural house made of mud bricks and a roof made of logs and palm reeds. The house is in danger of falling apart because the walls have many deep cracks and the roof is ruined and worn out. Seham’s family fears that the roof will collapse on them and as a result, they are not able to concentrate on their studies. Seham’s family would like to tear it down and build a new house and roof. Altogether, this will cost $1,355. Seham’s family needs a generous donor to cover this cost.

Madeline needs a sponsor (6836)

Madeline is from Samalout and although she is enrolled in our program she remains unsponsored. Though Madeline receives the mentoring and love that all our kids receive, it would truly be a blessing if she could have the additional support of a loving sponsor. Though we cannot reveal identifying information about Madeline and her family at this time, whoever chooses to sponsor Madeline will be contacted by a staff member and oriented on her case. If you will consider this urgent request to support Madeline in Egypt, offering her prayers, encouragement, and love, you can give her hope that will last a lifetime. Please make Madeline part of your family, and help unlock her God-given potential. $60 a month (or more should you wish) can help transform her life and change her world. Madeline will continue to receive regular visits by a specially trained Church-based volunteer who serves as her personal mentor and advocate. Through this volunteer, Madeline gains access to literacy tutoring and life-skills workshops, and to basic rights like food, clothing, shelter, school supplies, and anything else she needs to succeed in her studies. The support your love provides will serve the cause of improving Madeline’s education, bringing out her strengths and talents, and equipping her to break the cycle of poverty.
