Serve to Learn - Why do it?

By participating in Coptic Orphans’ Serve to Learn program, you have the opportunity to give of your time and yourself in order to touch the life of someone less fortunate. You will be able to share the blessings of your life with others.

Make a real difference

Not only do Serve to Learn volunteers get to experience the joy of giving, they make a real difference in the lives of the children they teach. Giving children a knowledge of English gives them opportunities far and above what they would otherwise have in their villages. Additionally, learning from a native speaker, as opposed to an Egyptian, makes their learning more effective and the result more useful to the child.

Experience new things

With Coptic Orphans’ Serve to Learn, volunteers get a chance to experience Egypt first-hand, and up close. Moving beyond the usual tourist destinations, they see the real Egypt, and the real Egyptian people as they live.

Bridging a gap

Whether or not your roots lie in Egypt, being a Serve to Learn volunteer will allow you to bring two worlds together. Serve to Learn volunteers become ambassadors for the countries the children have heard so much about, and can have the fortune to show the people of our side of the world in the best light.
