On the weekend of September 6th, fifty Coptic Orphans
volunteers swarmed through the Maxi grocery store in Quebec, Canada
to bag groceries for four days in order to benefit vulnerable children
in Egypt. They introduced new people to Coptic Orphans and spread
the message that giving vulnerable children in Egypt the tools that
they need to break the cycle of poverty is in everyone’s reach.
By Sunday, they broke the Maxi store fundraising record
by raising $3,400. twenty five percent of the proceeds from the event
will benefit
the President’s Choice Maxi Foundation for Children so that
they can purchase much needed medical equipment for children. The
other $2,530 will directly benefit orphaned and other vulnerable
children in Egypt through Coptic Orphans.
Congratulations to these
dedicated volunteers from all of us.
If you missed the Maxi event,
you can still make a difference. Volunteers are the backbone of
Coptic Orphans. We work with children in Egypt
through a network of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, and volunteers
here can make just as big of a difference. Contact us today to
