Field Coordinator
Coptic Orphans, Lower Egypt

Coptic Orphans (www.copticorphans.org) is seeking a full time Field Coordinator in Lower Egypt to assist in overseeing program implementation and the work of the volunteer Representatives in fulfillment of the organization’s stated goals and policies so that every vulnerable child in Egypt can confidently face the future with a renewed sense of hope and a life.  Salary commensurate with experience and within the limits of a small nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Day to day organization, implementation and delivery of the Coptic Orphans established programs, such as the Not Alone Program (NAP) and Valuable Girl Project (VGP), to agreed budgets, policies and plans

Determine eligibility of nominated Reps (volunteers)

Review and determine eligibility of children cases submitted by Reps

Assist in conducting Rep orientation

Monitor field implementation by conducting regular home visits

Provide ongoing support and feedback to Reps

Assist in planning and arranging for workshops/meetings with Reps, children and mothers to include preparation of the meeting agenda and speakers

Maintain effective communication with Area Manager

Manage logistics management, specifically in the area of sponsor visits to the children

Communicate with Coptic Orphans office in Cairo and at times US office

Prepare and submit trip reports, expenses reports and other required documents

Review and audit expense reports submitted by Reps

Prepare and submit area’s monthly report to the Area Manager

Follow up with the administrative staff on requests for letters, pictures, and family reports needed for sponsors

Attend staff meeting in Cairo office and attend and prepare for Reps meetings (semi-annual, local and combined meetings) in the area served

Enter children in database, as required

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years work experience or Master's degree in International Development, Education or related field.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently

Excellent cross cultural written and oral communication skills; ability to work in team environment

Strong command of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

Availability to travel overseas

Fluency in English; knowledge of spoken Arabic is a plus

Commitment to children and interest in international development issues, background in international nonprofit world a plus
