Field Worker Lower Egypt
Description:
The Field Worker for Coptic Orphans assists the Area Manager
in overseeing the work of the volunteer Representatives (Reps) to ensure
that vulnerable children, in the Lower Egypt region are improving from
the services provided; as well as to provide reporting on other Coptic
Orphans programs in the region. This position requires extensive travel
within Lower Egypt and working off regular hours and weekends.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•
Monitoring of Not Alone program progress in the field thru home visits,
local meetings with volunteer Reps, children workshops and other mechanisms.
•
Collect data and report to Area Program Manager on implementation,
progress, and challenges from the field.
•
Assist the Area Program Manager in determining eligibility of potential
volunteers, conducting volunteer orientations, and providing feedback
and support to the volunteers.
•
Review financial forms, prepare for general meetings, and attain required
forms and documents from the field.
•
Promote and assist with other Coptic Orphans programs such as Serve
to Learn and Valuable Girl.
•
Coordinate and communicate with Coptic Orphans office in Cairo and
Washington, DC
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years work experience, with some of that
experience working in the field.
•
Previous experience in the non-profit field or international development
is a plus
•
English fluency preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office, internet and email
•
Must be a self-starter and motivated while being a team player
•
Must have the children’s interest at heart; Must be currently
living in Lower Egypt or surrounding area.
