Our Diocesian Partners

While Coptic Orphans is not an official development or charitable organ of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Coptic Orphans has a strong relationship with the Coptic Church in Egypt.

Our partnership with the Coptic Church allows us to become part of the lives of people in villages from the Mediterranean ocean to Egypt’s southern border near Sudan, even remote regions that we would not otherwise reach.

Bishops from the Coptic Orthodox Church from all levels have expressed their support and encouragement for our work, including His Holiness Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria. Read about our meetings with various bishops.

Coptic Orphans also maintains a very special partnership with BLESS, the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical, and Social Services, an organization affiliated with His Holiness Pope Shenouda of Alexandria and the papal secretary and overseer of the Coptic Church’s social justice activities, Bishop Youannis.

Coptic Orphans also partners with other faith-based organizations such as local congregations or Christian NGO’s with whom we work side-by-side on the ground in Egypt.
