A Diocese for Children?

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II gave an interview earlier this month on a variety of topics. One of the more interesting ideas he mentioned is a new bishopric for children and their unique needs in the Church.

He said,

I have many dreams for the children. Children are of different categories. First, there are the poor or disadvantaged children. On the other side there are the creative children. Every category has special needs. It may be important to establish a new bishopric or diocese for children, or for Sunday school. I will discuss this matter with some bishops, but it is still important.

About Nathan Hollenbeck

Nathan joined Coptic Orphans in 2006. It was his response to a call to help return Egypt’s hospitality to the Holy Family on behalf of Christ Emmanuel and the Theotokos, after they changed his own life as a youth. He has a passion to fulfill God’s command to “bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” (Isaiah 1:17, ESV)
